2014 Hamptons Garden Tours

A cottage garden on ARF tour last year

I'm back after a blogging hiatus.  Things got a little busy this spring and what free time I've had lately has been spent sprucing up my own Hamptons garden.

However, I wanted to quickly post the upcoming garden tours in the Hamptons.  The first one up is next weekend: Parish Art Museum's Landscape Pleasures.  Saturday morning there will be a symposium at the new Parish Art Museum featuring talks from landscape architects and designers.  On Sunday, a self-guided tour will allow garden enthusiasts to explore five notable gardens, including fashion designer Tory Burch's Southampton estate. The well-known Madoo Conservancy in Sagaponack will also be open for this tour.  For more information and tickets, click here.

Next up will be the annual ARF Garden tour on June 21st, featuring six gardens in the East Hampton Springs area.  Esteemed Hamptons landscape designer, Edwina von Gal, will open up here own garden for this year's tour.  For more information and tickets on this tour, click here.

Later in the summer, August 23, The Guild Hall "The Garden As Art" tour will present six gardens in East Hampton and North Haven.  The morning before the tour, a panel discussion at Guild Hall will explore the changing definition of a perfect garden as gardeners rely less on chemicals and more on ecologically smart garden design and methods. Click here for information and tickets.

These all sound exciting and I'll post pics of these tours later.
